The little girl....

Tio Scotty was here last week for a much needed and very much appreciated visit. Though he was still busy trying to keep all his loose ends in Costa Rica together, we were able to spend lots of quality down time with each other...just hanging out playing. Rhea enjoyed his company and it warmed my heart to see the laughs they shared. I so wish we lived closer...

An added bonus to Scott's visit was the gift of his video camera to record all the daily happenings with the girl. What a luxury it is...and a fun new toy for Bert to obsess over. In trying to figure out the ins and outs of the camera I came across some video that Scott had taken the last time he was here in August. This is a short but oh so sweet clip of Rhea and Josie.

Looking at this video I can hardly believe that little bundle of near bald headed cuteness is my now luxuriously locked little spitfire.

It's a funny thing...watching these old videos makes me really miss her...even though I know she is snug in bed...I'm actually missing her as she has been captured here...my sweet little baby Rhea Sue.

Whether it be rain, sleet or snow.....

Bert was determined to get his girl in the bike trailer this weekend and persevered against all odds...dismal rainy weather, nap time fast approaching, helmet adjusting and all manner of baby wrangling, flat tires and a slightly (or not so slightly) safety concerned Mama overseeing the whole affair.

During a miraculous break in the down pouring they took off on their maiden voyage. Taking pictures was tricky but you can see a slice of all the fun in lovely seqential order. We begin with Bert trying to wrestle her into the trailer and end with the two of them riding off into the urban jungle we call home....



By all accounts (well by Bert's account anyway) she thoroughly enjoyed every bump and jostle...most especially the off road trail blazing. She returned to her Mama full of babbling stories and rosy cheeks...bringing with her a Papa quite pleased with his morning accomplishment.

For the true fans....

January 21st....cripes. It has been almost two months since I have added an entry to this blog.

I can barely believe it as the past two months have been so jammed packed with celebration, gatherings and growth that my lack of bloging seems downright negligent. I know that there are some true Rhea fans out there who have been religiously checking this space for some updates and I'm putting out this quick post to let you know that we are officially back in the game.

So much has happened that I'm not even going to try a recap here right now. I'm just going to say that Rhea is out with her Papa taking a stroll in the rain (well protected and bundled of course) to the grocery store to pick up some fish for dinner. I am feeling the pull of a cluttered kitchen needing some TLC (before it gets all cluttered up again due to dinner preparations) but just had to get this out.
